About the Job

We are looking for a highly motivated nurse practitioner/physician assistant to join the MedStar Health Community Medical Oncology Program at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center. This role is ideal for an Advanced Practice Provider who values patient-centered care, thrives in a team environment, and is capable of navigating complex and sensitive conversations with patients and their families. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inpatient consults for new cancer or blood disorder cases
  • Evaluate and manage new patients admitted to the hospital
  • Follow up with established inpatients to ensure continuity of care
  • Act as a liaison between inpatient and outpatient teams to ensure seamless transitions and care coordination
  • Proactively alert outpatient teams for follow-up, enhancing care continuity and patient experience

The advanced practice practitioner will have the opportunity to interact with all members of the multidisciplinary oncology care team to increase patients' access to care, enhance the quality of patient care and be part of expanded services for cancer survivors.  This is a full-time opportunity with a Monday through Friday schedule.

USD $115,000.00 - USD $143,619.00 /Yr.
