 General Summary of Position
Performs diagnostic medical radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures through interpretation. Performs EKGs phlebotomy IV insertions autologous and therapeutic donations and obtains vital signs.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies procedures quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.
  • Develops film including evaluating film for technical quality.
  • Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas. Reports any unsafe or potentially unsafe conditions. Maintains X-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order. Performs preventative maintenance on a regularly scheduled basis.
  • Obtains patient history answers patient questions and explains procedures.
  • Obtains vital signs as indicated along with required documentation.
  • Participates in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams.
  • Performs radiographic examinations. May assist a licensed practitioner with fluoroscopic specialized interventional procedures. May perform non-interpretive fluoroscopic procedures as appropriate and consistent with applicable state statutes.
  • Prepares as required by the profession and the department such written documentation as evaluation results individualized treatment plans and progress reports. Access manipulate store and Create CD's from PACS.
  • Requests and orders supplies as necessary to keep materials on hand at all times. Checks drug supplies and informs the appropriate person of what needs to be re-stocked.
  • Transports patients to radiographic room as needed. Prepares and maintains room.

Minimal Qualifications
Education

  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology required and
  • Associate's degree preferred

Experience

  • Prior work experience not required required

Licenses and Certifications

  • ARRT Radiology Technology license in the State of Maryland required

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills preferred.

This position has a hiring range of

USD $29.73 - USD $53.49 /Hr.
