Description

Absolutely — here's your Surgical Cardiac ICU RN posting with all dashes and lines removed, keeping that sleek, confident, and compelling tone:

Registered Nurse – Surgical Cardiac ICU

Where Precision Meets Power. Where Heart Meets Heroism.

Step into the Surgical Cardiac ICU where every heartbeat tells a story and every second counts. Here, you'll deliver expert, high-stakes care to post-op cardiac and surgical patients while surrounded by a team that thrives on challenge, excellence, and purpose.

This isn't just another nursing job. This is critical care at its boldest.

What You'll Do

Provide expert, high-acuity nursing care for post-open heart, thoracic, and complex surgical patients in a fast-paced, team-driven ICU.

Think fast, act precisely, and stay calm under pressure—identifying changes in condition, anticipating complications, and intervening decisively.

Partner with world-class cardiac surgeons, intensivists, and multidisciplinary colleagues to deliver seamless, patient-centered care.

Lead with confidence, developing and executing care plans that reflect deep critical thinking, technical skill, and compassion.

Advocate fiercely for your patients and their families, ensuring their voices are heard in every decision.

Mentor and inspire newer nurses through collaboration, coaching, and leading by example.

Push the limits of what's possible in patient care because excellence is the standard, not the goal.

Who You Are

You're not afraid of complexity—you crave it. You think in rhythms and act with precision. You thrive in environments where intensity meets innovation and where your skill truly saves lives. You're ready to join a team that's as passionate and driven as you are.

What You Bring

Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred (or enrolled within 12 months, completed within 4 years).
Experience: Prior ICU or step-down experience preferred, but strong clinical skills and the drive to learn can make you unstoppable.
Licensure & Certifications:
Active RN license in the District of Columbia (DC) required.
CPR/BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross).
ACLS preferred; specialty certifications as applicable.

Why You'll Love It Here

Competitive compensation, premium differentials, and benefits that support you inside and outside the hospital.
