MedStar Health and the MedStar Heart and Vascular Institute (MHVI) are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible cardiologist to join our dynamic, multidisciplinary academic cardiovascular team in Washington, DC. This position offers the opportunity to practice at two premier institutions:

Position Highlights:
A majority of the clinical time is spent as a dedicated cardiac imager with a focus on cardiac CT and Cardiac MRI
Participate in both inpatient and outpatient clinical cardiology
Collaborate with a nationally recognized team of cardiovascular experts at both MedStar Washington Hospital Center and MedStar Georgetown University Hospital
Perform and interpret a broad spectrum of advanced cardiac imaging studies, including echocardiography (TTE, TEE, stress echo), cardiac MRI, and/or cardiac CT
Participate in clinical care, teaching, and research within a vibrant academic environment
Contribute to the training of cardiology fellows, residents, and medical students
Academic faculty appointment available through Georgetown University School of Medicine
Support and develop ongoing research initiatives with access to a rich academic infrastructure
Competitive salary and benefits
Qualifications:
MD or DO with Board Certification/Eligibility in Cardiovascular Disease
Advanced training and proficiency in cardiac imaging (Level II/III training in echocardiography, cardiac CT and/or MRI preferred)
Demonstrated commitment to academic medicine, education, clinical care, and research
Eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia
