MedStar Medical Group Anesthesiology seeks a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) within their Acute Pain Service (APS). Interested nurse practitioners with FNP or AGACNP certification are encouraged to apply. New graduates are welcome to apply, as well. The CRNP acts as a consultant in collaboration with anesthesia team members, surgeons, and medical staff to manage patients with acute and chronic pain in the inpatient setting. In this role, the CRNP is responsible for conducting patient assessments, performing perioperative evaluations, prescribing appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities, managing epidural and peripheral nerve catheters, and rounding daily on new and established patients. Additionally, the CRNP will obtain H&Ps, review diagnostic test results, formulate plans, write progress notes, and provide education to patients/families. The CRNP will also provide education to other healthcare team members regarding pain protocols and act as an expert pain resource for the institution.
The full-time schedule for this role will be in-person, Monday through Friday, daytime 8hr days. This job excludes holidays, weekends, after-hour or call responsibilities. Position will include mandatory 6-8 weeks of initial, comprehensive training at our hospitals in Washington, D.C.

This position has a hiring range of $115,000 - $143,619.
