MedStar Health is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our team at MedStar Franklin Square Hospital!

Primary Duties:

·       Provides comprehensive administrative and clerical support to department staff and leadership, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments and meetings, coordinating travel arrangements, and maintaining staff schedules and vacation logs.

·       Assists with general office functions such as answering phones, routing calls, handling mail, maintaining filing systems, preparing documents and presentations, and supporting licensing and credentialing processes as needed.

·       Coordinates logistics for meetings and events, including room bookings, agendas, materials, minutes, food orders, and virtual meeting setup (e.g., WebEx).

·       Maintains inventory and orders supplies and equipment within cost-effective guidelines; ensures office equipment is properly maintained according to protocols.

·       Supports data entry, transcription, and the compilation of reports or statistical/financial information for department projects or initiatives.

·       Participates in departmental meetings, committees, and outreach activities; may serve on multi-disciplinary quality and service improvement teams.

·       Provides back-up support to other administrative staff to ensure continuity of office operations.

·       Ensures compliance with departmental policies, quality and safety standards, and regulatory and accreditation requirements.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

·       High School Diploma or GED.

·       2 years clerical/office experience preferably in a healthcare setting supporting a leader/administrative function.



This position has a hiring range of $20.17 - $35.04
