General Summary of Position

MedStar Health is looking for an Athletic Trainer-Executive Health to join our team in Chevy Chase, MD!

The Athletic Trainer – Executive Health is responsible for assisting in all aspects of the Executive Health program through daily clinical care. Supports all aspects of patient care, including, but not limited to, patient rooming and triage, communication between both patient family and physician, and coordination of care within the MedStar Health system and externally.  Develops professional relationships with their patients and families to become valued members of their health care team, delivers a high level of customer service, and continually looks for ways to improve the quality of their clinical and rehabilitative services.  Areas of priority will include, but are not limited to, daily clinical coverage, patient education, and other department operations to meet the needs of an Executive Health program.

Primary Duties:

·         Supports Executive Health operations by coordinating clinical workflows, preparing visit documentation, communicating with patients and insurers, and participating in on-call coverage.

·         Ensures compliance and quality by adhering to MedStar Health policies, assisting with program development, and maintaining regulatory and accreditation standards.

·         Facilitates technology and EMR integration, including patient support with digital platforms, managing documentation workflows, and implementing downtime procedures.

·         Oversees clinical logistics, including supply management, onsite patient assessments, and collaboration with the Program Manager on clinical concerns.

·         Promotes wellness and professional development by participating in executive wellness initiatives, injury prevention efforts, and ongoing training and education.

 

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor's degree in athletic training or related field. (Required).

·         Master's degree (Preferred)

·         3-4 years Progressively increasing job-related experience. (Required)

Licenses and Certifications:

·         AT- Certified Athletic Trainer Certified as an ATC by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification (NATABOC) (Required)

·         Eligible for ATC license in Maryland and Virginia, and eligible to practice in the District of Columbia (Required)

·         CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 days (Required)

This position has a hiring range of $60,632 - $107,494
