General Summary of Position
- -Procedural Endoscopy:
- A 5 bay pre-procedural area supports 6 procedural rooms that deliver inpatient and outpatient services. The Pre Op nurse completes a preoperative assessment, obtains a patient history, administers preoperative medications, completes patient education while providing emotional support to the patient. They work in close collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to complete the necessary safety checks prior to entering the procedural room.
- The Endoscopy procedural area supports 6 state-of-the-art procedural rooms. The Endoscopy nurse will assist expert physicians perform advanced therapeutic procedures such as Colonscopy, Endoscopy, ERCP, EUS, Single Balloon Enteroscopy and Barrx Procedures/Treatments.Endoscopy nurses will work closely with patients to perform medical intake in preparation for procedures and assist physicians during the procedures with specimen collection and charting.
- Endoscopy PACU - Critical Care Nurses Wanted!
- Phase 1 Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is a 6-bay Recovery Room that provides immediate post-procedural care in accordance with ASPAN standards. The PACU Nurses care for both adult and pediatric patients both inpatient and outpatient. Nursing care focuses on airway management, re-establishing hemodynamic stability with frequent procedural site and vital sign assessments and pain management. ICU or ED level experience required for this position.
The nurse assesses the patient for the appropriateness of discharge home while preparing the patient and loved ones for safe self-care at home. Effective patient education is essential in this phase of recovery.

As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications
· ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
· Prior Clinical Nursing experience
· Critical Care background preferred
· Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers required.
