General Summary of Position
Job Summary:
As a Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for effectively communicating with patients, staff and guests of the hospital to ensure accuracy and timelines of patient meal trays and floor stock. The Host/Hostess must feel comfortable entering patients rooms and interacting with our patients.
This is a part time opportunity. It is a requirement to work rotating weekends.
Primary Duties:
· Takes patient food orders according to dietary/allergy restrictions.
· Delivers food carts to correct floor or patient area.
· Serves trays to patients and assisting with opening containers or cutting foods when requested.
· Records the amount and type of special food items to patients.
· Collect trays and places garbage and trash in designated containers.
· Must be able to read and write.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED preferred.
· 1 year of work related experience preferred.
