Description
General Summary of Position
Performs specimen testing and analysis on patient samples to aid the clinician in providing patient care services. Ensures that all quality control, quality assurance and equipment maintenance is documented and maintained according to standards. Provides exceptional customer service as needed. These functions are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations and Georgetown University Hospital's philosophy, policies, procedures and standards.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree B.S. Degree (preferably in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field) required
Experience
- laboratory experience preferred
Licenses and Certifications
- ASCP - Medical Technologist within 1 Year required or
- American Medical Technologists - AMT within 1 Year or
- CABP - Certified Advanced Biotherapies Professional Eligible candidates will be accepted and expected to sit & pass certification exam within 1 Year
- Medical Technologists hired prior to March 1, 2010 will be held to the education and training, licensure and or certification or experience of the job description of record upon hire. Specifically, those hired prior to March 1, 2010, will meet all CLIA 1988 Personnel requirements as a Medical Technologist.

This position has a hiring range of $29.15 - $51.68
