Bring your passion for leadership to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital; one of the most technologically advanced PACU settings in the DC region. Our brand‑new Verstandig Pavilion houses two state‑of‑the‑art Phase I Post‑Anesthesia Care Units (PACUs) stacked on adjacent floors—each with 24 spacious recovery bays supporting 31 leading‑edge operating rooms. Here, our PACU nurses stabilize airways, manage complex hemodynamics, control pain and perform frequent surgical‑site and vital‑sign assessments for adult and pediatric patients who have undergone everything from same‑day ENT procedures to high‑acuity neurosurgery, transplant and thoracic cases.
As Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), you will partner with the PACU Director of Nursing to champion clinical excellence, operational efficiency and an exceptional experience across both 24‑bay units. You will guide more than 80 RNs and support staff in delivering evidence‑based, ASPAN‑aligned care for a diverse surgical population whose acuity ranges from ambulatory to critical care.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required; master's in nursing or related field preferred.
- Active DC RN license; BLS required (AHA or ARC).
- Minimum three (3) years of progressive clinical nursing experience, ideally in PACU, critical care or peri‑operative services; previous leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to drive quality, safety and staff engagement in a fast‑paced, high‑acuity environment.
This position has a hiring range of $100,588 - $190,340
