General Summary of Position

MedStar Physicians' Billing Services is currently seeking an experienced Provider Training Coordinator to join our training team.  In this role you will support and provide training in systems and processes for client departments and MPBS associates.  In addition, you will develop documentation and training materials to provide training and support to client departments; and be involved in performing testing and system analysis to improve the system.

Full time, REMOTE schedule but candidates must be local to the DMV area for some limited on-site training at various MedStar Health locations.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Answers routine problem calls from clients.
  • Appraises, forecasts, and determines desired set of future conditions and strategies required to achieve goals and objectives of organization within area of expertise.
  • Documents client requirements, performs analysis and writes specifications.
  • Enhances personal professional growth through development of and participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops.
  • Exemplifies Guest and Associate Relations standards in all activities in areas of service, resource utilization, high quality outcomes and effective communication.
  • Participates in associate, departmental, practice, and committee meetings as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned. Assumes other duties and responsibilities that are appropriate to the position and area.
  • Performs quality assurance functions and assists supervisors in identifying additional training needs.
  • Provides on-site support (after installation) during system deployment.
  • Provides training in systems and processes to clinical users and MPBS associate in classroom and on-site settings.
  • Reports and documents consistent problems, issues and trends to senior management.
  • Supports MPBS implementations and improvements to billing system by providing relevant information and expertise.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5-7 years related experience with 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience required.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent oral presentation and teaching skills.
  • High energy level, creativity and self-motivation essential.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work and thrive in team-oriented production and deadline driven work environment.
  • Ability to function in classroom settings, as well as provide training on-work-site locations.
