General Summary of Position
Cardiovascular ICU Highlights
8 beds with NPs, PAs, Intensivists and Surgeon on floor. Nurse/Physician team collaboration and a true interdisciplinary model of care, in which we round 3 times per day for successful patient outcomes.
2 12-hour straight shifts every 6-week period minimum shift requirement.
Traditional Open heart, Catheter based valve replacement, high end vascular surgeries, and thoracic patients.
Fast paced, critical thinking and skills oriented. Need experience in rhythm recognition
Key Responsibilities
As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex. You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.

Qualifications
Valid MD or Compact RN License
2-3 years' experience in Cardiac ICU or ICU
ADN required; BSN Preferred
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred and
- Associate's degree from an accredited School of Nursing required and
- enrollment required within 6 months of start date and completion within 3 years. required
Experience
- 1-2 years of RN experience. required
Licenses and Certifications
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in the state or jurisdiction of the facility seeking employment or Multistate Compact state or license eligible Upon Hire required or
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required and
- Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit. and
- RNC-OB C- Electronic Fetal Mon Perinatal nurses (labor and delivery, antepartum, antenatal testing) must obtain certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) from the National Certification Corporation (NCC) within 12 months from date of hire. New graduate nurses or new to specialty nurses (labor and delivery, antepartum, antenatal testing) will have 15 months from date of hire to obtain the EFM certification. required
