Memorial Healthcare System is seeking a BE/BC Rheumatologist to join the multi-specialty Memorial Physician Group. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of an experienced therapist's immunology team that consists of allergists/immunologists and pediatric rheumatologists. The successful candidate will also work with related subspecialties including orthopedics and hematology/oncology, as well as physical medicine and rehabilitation. The selected candidate will be responsible for establishing and participating in a dedicated inpatient adult rheumatology service at all Memorial hospital locations with outpatient responsibilities initially focused on hospital follow-ups. There are future intentions of implementing additional outpatient clinics for new and returning patients. The opportunity to develop sub-specialty clinics including connective tissue disease, vasculitis myositis, inflammatory arthritis, fibromyalgia and regional and complex pain syndromes are based on experience and interest. The position entails shared responsibilities for evening and night call under the direction of the division chief, with a rotating weekend call schedule. This is a full-time employed position with the Memorial Physician Group. The position offers competitive benefits and a compensation package that is commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
