Provides prevention, evaluation, immediate care, and rehabilitation for orthopedic and sports‑related injuries, supporting safe return to activity. Assists orthopedic providers with patient care, rehabilitation planning, and clinic flow. Schedule: Full Time, 40 Hours per Week
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of athletic training program from accredited college or university.
Licensure: State of practice licensure or eligible for Athletic Trainer is required.
Certification/Registration: Certification through the Board of Certification, Inc. Professional Rescuer CPR or its equivalent.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: This individual must be trained and capable of performing patient care and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed.
Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements: Clinical and/or Outreach Athletic Training settings. The individual must be very adaptable and willing to work occasional odd hours. There will be occasional weekend work and travel required throughout the year.
Equipment Used: Therapeutic Modalities, Thermal and Electric Modalities, Computer, Dictaphone, Cellular Phone, Therapeutic Equipment.
Preferred Education: Master's Degree in athletic training or related field is preferred.
Preferred Certification: National Athletic Trainers Association certification as an athletic trainer.
Key Responsibilities:
• Interpret physician referrals and perform accurate patient evaluations, identifying precautions and contraindications.
• Gather and document relevant patient history and subjective information.
• Develop and progress individualized rehabilitation plans using appropriate therapeutic exercises and modalities.
• Monitor patient responses and report abnormal findings to the physician or care team.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, home programs, and discharge instructions.
• Participate in discharge planning and recommend continued or off‑site rehabilitation when needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff for complex cases and coordinated care.
• Apply current clinical standards and follow established orthopedic and sports medicine protocols.
• Support clinic operations through related administrative and organizational duties.
