The Cardiovascular Special Procedure Technologist performs advanced diagnostic and invasive procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Schedule: 7;30am - 4pm
Education: Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program and completion of required clinical hours
or completion of RCIS training certification
Experience: One (1) year of relevant experience
Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.
Certification/Registration: ARRT (R) or RCIS; Basic Life Support (BLS)

Works closely and efficiently with Electrophysiologists, intradisciplinary staff and other invasive cardiology staff in performing a wide range of rhythm management EP / cardiac procedures. Performs related duties as assigned. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Position Details:

Eligible for Inpatient Shift Differential!

Schedule: 7:00am-5:30pm
 

Education: Graduate of an accredited Imaging Program and completion of required clinical hours or completion of RCIS training certification.

Will consider new or experienced Rad Tech

Experience: One (1) year of relevant experience  

Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice.

Certification: AART (R) OR RCIS; Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Expert-level understanding of imaging technologies and their respective applications, protocols, and limitations.

Ability to mentor and train less experienced technologists, guiding them through procedures, ensuring adherence to protocols, and providing feedback for improvement.

Proficiency in operating imaging equipment and using imaging software to acquire high-quality diagnostic images.

Skilled in effectively communicating with patients, explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and providing emotional support.

Ability to communicate and work effectively within a healthcare team, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Physical Requirements:

•    Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.

•    Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.

•    Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
