As a Medical Assistant, you'll play a vital role in delivering compassionate, high-quality care to women in our community. You'll support providers and patients throughout the visit while helping ensure smooth clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities Include:
??? Prepare patients for provider visits by completing the Advanced Standard Rooming process:
- Entering chief complaints
- Recording vital signs
- Reviewing medical history and allergies
- Performing thorough medication reconciliation
??? Work within the Encounter Guide to help close care gaps, including:
- Fall risk and depression screenings
- Breast and colorectal cancer screenings
- Diabetic eye exams
??? Recheck elevated blood pressures and complete documentation in Epic, including support for annual preventive visits.
??? Assist with in‑office testing such as:
- Blood draws
- EKGs
- Mental status exams
- Walking oxygen studies
- Point‑of‑care testing
- Administer vaccines and injections within scope of practice.
Schedule follow‑up appointments per office policy.
Collaborate closely with providers and the clinical care team to coordinate and monitor patient care plans.
✅ QualificationsMedical Assistant (Non‑Certified):
??? High School Diploma or GED
??? BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire
??? Preferred: 6 months of clinical healthcare experience
Certified Medical Assistant:
??? High School Diploma or GED
??? Active MA Certification/Registration (RMA, CCMA, or CMA)
??? BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire
