The Monitoring Technician is responsible for on-going surveillance of patient cardiac monitors and provides RNs and/or clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rhythms. Reviews patient information to determine normal heart rhythm pattern, current pattern and prior variances. Works cooperatively as part of a team. Monitor Tech – Day Shift
Location: Mercy Hospital St. Louis
Schedule: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Full-Time | Rotating Weekends & Holidays
Training: Day shift training for the first 6–8 weeks

What You'll Do:
Monitor cardiac rhythms and alert clinical staff to changes
Review patient data to identify patterns and variances
Work closely with nurses and care teams to ensure patient safety
Be a calm, focused presence during overnight hours
What You'll Need:
Education: High school diploma or GED
Training: Completion of a monitor tech course or passing score (85%) on our competency exam
Certification: CRAT certification within 1 year of hire
Skills: Strong attention to detail, multitasking, and quick decision-making under pressure
Experience: Healthcare experience is a plus, but not required—we'll train you!
