As a Patient Service Specialist, you'll play an important role in creating a smooth, positive experience for patients while supporting daily clinic operations.

In this role, you'll not only manage scheduling and front-end processes, but also help support your team by sharing knowledge, leading daily huddles, and identifying opportunities to improve workflows. You'll work closely with pre-certification teams and stay up to date on payer requirements to ensure accuracy and efficiency across the clinic.

  • Coordinate patient scheduling, registration, and insurance verification
  • Support and mentor other Patient Service Specialists
  • Assist with daily team huddles and workflow improvements
  • Collaborate with pre-certification teams to ensure payer alignment
  • Stay up to date on process changes and system updates
  • Communicate updates and support a positive team environment
  • Help maintain efficient, patient-focused clinic operations
Minimum Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, typing)
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with patients and team members
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Experience with scheduling, insurance verification, and referrals
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
Preferred Qualifications

Experience:

  • 2+ years in scheduling, insurance verification, or prior authorization

Additional Skills:

  • Epic (RC/EMR) experience preferred
  • Knowledge of ICD-10, insurance processes, or self-pay collections
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Prolonged standing and walking
  • Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and move throughout the day
