As a Patient Service Specialist, you'll play an important role in creating a smooth, positive experience for patients while supporting daily clinic operations.
In this role, you'll not only manage scheduling and front-end processes, but also help support your team by sharing knowledge, leading daily huddles, and identifying opportunities to improve workflows. You'll work closely with pre-certification teams and stay up to date on payer requirements to ensure accuracy and efficiency across the clinic.

- Coordinate patient scheduling, registration, and insurance verification
- Support and mentor other Patient Service Specialists
- Assist with daily team huddles and workflow improvements
- Collaborate with pre-certification teams to ensure payer alignment
- Stay up to date on process changes and system updates
- Communicate updates and support a positive team environment
- Help maintain efficient, patient-focused clinic operations
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, typing)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to interact professionally with patients and team members
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with scheduling, insurance verification, and referrals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
Experience:
- 2+ years in scheduling, insurance verification, or prior authorization
Additional Skills:
- Epic (RC/EMR) experience preferred
- Knowledge of ICD-10, insurance processes, or self-pay collections
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Prolonged standing and walking
- Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and move throughout the day
