Overview:

 

Under the direct supervision of Director of Neurosciences, the Neurosurgery Program Coordinator supports the continued development of Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City Neurosurgery Surgery Program.

This position is responsible for collaborating with the Neuroscience Program leadership to develop and maintain Comprehensive Neurosurgery programs that align with the Joint Commission, Center of Excellence certification, BCBS designation and pertinent regulatory criteria. The coordinator will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure not only compliance with the above standards, but also a thorough and high-quality pre-admission through post-operative episode of care is achieved for all patients. The coordinator will work collaboratively as part of the multi-disciplinary team to implement measures and clinical performance initiatives that improve performance and are focused on high quality, reduced costs, and exceptional outcomes of the total patient by the entire care team. These duties and responsibilities shall be performed in a manner consistent with our Mission, Values, and Charisms of Mercy Ministry.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors in Nursing, or in progress. BSN to be completed within 2 years.

  • Licensure: RN license

  • Experience: 3-5 years of neuro experience

    • Experience with patient/staff education

    • Experience with joint commission/protocol development/quality

  • Certification/Registration: BLS required.
