Overview:
Only Those Students Identified for Mercy's SLIP Program will be considered
The St. Louis Internship Program (SLIP), an initiative of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater ST. Louis, is designed to provide high school students in the St. Louis region with paid summer internships, intensive employability training, and year-round college and career planning. SLIP aims to create a pipeline of diverse, talented workers for the St. Louis area
1. The program includes:
- Paid Summer Internships: High school students gain real-world work experience.
- Employability Training: Interns receive training in professional etiquette, basic computer skills, and more.
- College and Career Planning: Year-round support to help students prepare for their future careers
- Hands-on Experience: Interns work in various departments, gaining practical skills and insights into the healthcare industry.
- Mentorship: Interns are paired with experienced professionals who guide and support them throughout the internship.
- Professional Development: Interns participate in workshops and training sessions to enhance their skills and knowledge
