Overview:

 

Senior Lean Transformation Specialist leads project teams to improve critical organizational processes that improve quality, patient safety and financial performance. Plans and manages major organizational process improvement change utilizing Six Sigma and Lean Design tools and methodology. Coordinates with other Lean Facilitators and personnel to manage multiple Lean projects, Rapid Improvement Cycle Events (RIE), and follow up activities for redesign improvement efforts, ensuring alignment with Leadership goals. Trains, coaches and implements improvement efforts using the principles of Lean Design with other six sigma and redesign black belts, leadership, providers and coworkers. Mentors other Lean Transformation Specialists Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.


Qualifications:

  • Experience: Seven (7) years professional business experience with proven ability to identify and resolve problems, plan and conduct complex project assignments and prepare reports.
  • Required Education: Bachelors degree in a healthcare related discipline. Completion of Six Sigma, Change Acceleration Process, and Lean training is required, along with completion of a project.
  • Certifications: Complete Lean and/or Six Sigma Black Belt Training (or equivalent) and pass Certification exam within one year of accepting position or is a Certified Black Belt
  • Other: Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively articulate and present complex ideas and information. Demonstrated leadership and project management skills. Strong analytical skills to gather both quantitative and qualitative data necessary in finding creative solutions to difficult and complex problems. Must have the ability to learn and do statistical analyses or is skilled in statistical analysis. Results-oriented change agent who is an effective business systems thinker. Facilitation skills. Ability to manage risk and ambiguity on projects. Excellent PC skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to travel up to 25% and meet early mornings and evenings.
