The Vice President-HR Strategic Business Partner is a business-minded, dynamic HR professional who partners with all HR functions and operational leaders to support organizational goals and drive forward innovative strategies. Develops, implements and monitors guidelines to promote value-based Human Resources policies and procedures consistent with the Mission, Vision, and Values of the Mercy Health Ministry. Provides strategic focus to insure the alignment of ministry-wide initiatives with regional priorities and operational needs. Acts as the voice of the community during ministry-wide decision-making processes.

The VP-SBP must be results-oriented and partnership focused with an approach that is responsive and aligned with business strategies. In addition, this role will be instrumental in facilitating a co-worker-oriented, high-performing workplace culture. Serves as the strategic leader and consultant on development and improvement of group or community dynamics and culture.

Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Position Details:

Currently responsible for leading HR Services at Mercy Jefferson, Mercy Perry, Mercy Southeast and Mercy Stoddard. Ability to be flexible with locations covered. This is a hybrid opportunity with remote and on-site expectations.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
Experience: Five years increasingly responsible management positions within human resources with three years recent experience as a Human Resources executive. Broad knowledge of employment, compensation, organizational planning, co-worker relations, labor relations and training and development.
Other: Strong managerial and administrative skills; Outstanding oral, written and presentation skills; Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups; Strong commitment to the Mercy traditions and values and to the Catholic health care ministry; Ability to balance business decisions with these traditions and values; Demonstrated innovation, creativity, and problem-solving skills; Visionary leadership and participative management style; Ability to work with and preserve confidential information; Ability to travel.
Preferred Education: Master's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or Organizational Development highly preferred. Mastery of one or more Human Resources disciplines preferred.
Preferred Experience: Health care and/or human resources consulting experience a plus.
Preferred Certifications: SPHR or PHR.
