- The right candidate will have 2 years of experience.
- Hold an active BLS, ACLS, NIHSS and a CA License.
- Schedule Information
- Shifts: 12 hr shifts.
- Shift starts 645. Report is at the bedside.
- OT and extra shifts are available.
- Self-scheduling is used, but is not finalized until Manager balances it.
- Schedules are out 4 weeks.
- Travelers can access their schedules from home and make themselves "available" for extra shifts and make trades with other staff.
- Block scheduling is generally not available.

- Ratios: 1:4-5
- EMR: Cerner
- Charge Nurse: Yes, generally does not take patients, but will do break relief.
- Nurse Aides: Yes as census and staffing dictates
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holidays: Rotate in with core staff
- Scrub Color: Navy - under shirts must be navy, white, or black. Scrub jackets are optional, must be navy.
- Tele: Yes, must be able to read and interpret EKG strips.
- Vents: No
- Drips: Cardizem, Amiodarone, and other cardiac drips with no orders for titration
- Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes
- IV Team: No
- RT 24/7: Yes
- Pharmacy 24/7: Yes
- Floating: All other Sacramento facilities. Mid-shift float to another facility is rare, but can happen.
- Floor specific orientation: 1 - 2 days on the floor with preceptor.
- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: General Tele patients. Non-titratable drips. Chest pain, CHF, COPD, MI, and other Cardiac dx
- Additional Notes: We need experienced/skilled travelers, who are good team players, and those who truly care about patients.
- 12hr Nights, EOW, First to Float

- Need 2 sup refs (charge accepted) at submittal; 1 w/in 12 mo. & 1 w/in 3 years worked
- For Holiday RTO: Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years).
- Unit managers will make the final call on scheduling, but we would include this verbiage on the confirmation.
- **Holiday time off will be considered, however not guaranteed**
- Modules are required to be done before start of assignment.
- Modules take on average 3-4 hours to complete-this time is not billable to the hospital.
- Med Sol prescreens, offer off clinical prescreens, manager has 24 hours to rescind the offer, if necessary.
- ***PRIOR TO ACCEPTANCE, THE DYSRHYTHMIA EXAM (BASIC) THROUGH RELIAS IS REQUIRED TO BE SENT ALONG WITH ACCEPTANCE.
- THIS MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN 24-48 HRS. PLEASE NOTE IT'S PASS OR FAIL AND THEY GET TWO ATTEMPTS.
