Job Description:
Position Summary
Under the leadership of the Administrative Director of Nursing, the Advanced Practice Clinicians (APC) Liaison/Chair collaborates with other directors, managers, and the medical staff supported by APCs and hospital and nursing leadership to promote recruitment, retention, onboarding and training of high caliber Advanced Practice Clinicians.
The APC Liaison/Chair, serves as the clinical leader and administrative liaison for all APCs practicing within the various Montage Health entities. The APC Liaison/Chair serves as an expert resource for requirements related to licensure, regulatory and practice issues for Advanced Practice Clinician positions.
The APC Liaison/Chair identifies and monitors compliance with all legal and regulatory issues affecting APCs; develops and implements processes to ensure compliance; conducts policy review pertinent to Advance Practice; maintains knowledge of California revised code as it relates to Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant practice in the state of California; participates in the APC credentialing and privileging processes; ensures effective processes for recruitment, orientation, on-boarding, competency assessment, staff development, and retention ;serves as a facilitator for APC professional networking and development, with particularly robust support for new APCs, and for APC students.
APC Chair Duties
Onboarding of New APC employees
Provide pre-application checklist.
Ensure Standardized Procedures for appropriate discipline of NP are correct
Review credentials and give approval in Med Staff Software
Present new hire at CIDP
Complete training and hospital orientation.
Provide orientation manual.
2. Graduate Nursing Students - NP
a. Assist department managers with arranging clinical rotations
i. Collaborate with APC Coordinator on individual NP/PA students
b. Maintain affiliation agreements
c. Assist with onboarding of students: Med Staff, HR, HIT, Clinical site
3. CIDP – Monthly Meeting
a. Presentation of New Hires for Privileges
b. Review of other ad hoc issues.
4. Compliance
a. Enforce/ensure compliance with CHOMP's ow policies for APC practice
b. Maintain awareness of state changes to practice, policy and procedures
5. APC Council
a. Chair / co-chair
Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience as a licensed clinician.
Previous experience in a leadership role, change implementation or project coordination with demonstrated successful, timely results.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multiple disciplines
Education
Master's Degree required, doctorate preferred.
Licensure/Certifications
Must be currently licensed in California as an Advanced Practice Nurse or a Physician Assistant.

Assigned Work Hours:
Per Diem- Variable 8 hour shifts, with a minimum of 4 per month

$96.84to
$129.52The hours employees work determine when a shift differential is paid.
