Discovery Senior Living is now the 9th largest senior housing operator with the addition of our new division in Texas – Morada Senior Living.  We have tremendous opportunities for proven leaders to join in our success.  

Morada Senior Living is looking for a Staffing Coordinator/Unit Clerk to join our community Morada Temple.

Responsibilities:

  • Update and adjust schedule based upon fluctuating census, regulatory requirements, planned and unplanned team member absences. Fill shift vacancies with overtime awareness.
  • Update schedule databases.
  • Work with payroll unit to ensure appropriate employee settlement
  • Maintain complete and accurate current and discharged residents' medical records
  • Track incidental and approved overtime, and complete other reports as assigned.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
  • Comply with applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, and regulations; maintains knowledge of and follows all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work and meetings.
  • Participate in all staff activities designed to develop teamwork, unity and promote morale.
  • Sends correspondence to providers relating to requested medical record information.
  • Maintain confidentiality of medical data. 
  • To be support staff to nurses, admin staff, family members and residents 
  • Answer phones and assist callers or transfer when appropriate 
  • Accept/receive home medications and provide receipt (non-narcotics only)
  • Maintain the appointment book, call and check for escorts. Includes taking appts via phone, from admission and in person.
  • Making appts with ambulatory referrals to specialists and hospital discharge follow ups with PCP
  • Central supply duties
  • Maintain an excel spreadsheet of shower data as a reference point for frequent refusals and staff neglect patterns
  • Other tasks as needed to include assisting with mealtimes, weighing residents, answering call lights, encouraging resident participation in activities, escorting residents on appointments if no family/friends are available to do so.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • At least 2 years of related experience, preferably in a senior living or equivalent industry.
  • Certified Nurse Aid in the state of Texas preferred.
