The Neogen Care Clinical Educator is a Registered Nurse whose practice is clinical nursing education and who oversees required education, competency, training, and professional development for Home Health clinicians/staff. Directly supports the Director of Patient Care Services (DPCS) and members of the management team in leading the development of all Neogen Care staff in providing trainings, in-office or on the field. The Clinical Educator helps the DPCS to establish, implement, and evaluate processes, procedures, goals, objectives, and quality assurance for Neogen Care home health services to meet and promote organization vision, mission, philosophy, and quality standards.

Essential Functions:

Coordinates orientation of new hires.
Provide comprehensive education and training to nursing staff across different territories, in-office or on the field
Collaborates with leadership team to deliver educational programs and secure resources based on needs assessments and adult learning theory.
Implement evidence-based practices to ensure highest standards of care and patient safety
Develop educational programs
Assist in planning, developing, implementing and/or coordinating educational programs/activities.
Other duties as assigned by DPCS
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Must be a Registered nurse (RN) with current licensure to practice in the state of California.
Undergraduate (BSN) degree in Nursing from a program accredited by the National League for Nursing and graduate degree (health care) required
MSN preferred
Minimum of one (1) year Clinical Educator experience in the health care field within the last five (5) years.
CPR/BLS required
Knowledge and expertise in clinical decision-making for the patient population.
An understanding of Quality Assessment reviews.
Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise and direct professional personnel.
Excellent observation and verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with high degree of precision and attention to detail to achieve accurate and timely delivery of services and to follow up and close out all open cases.
Ability to work efficiently with typical office computer software programs (MSWord, Email, etc.); and ability to efficiently use an electronic health care charting system.
