Job Description: Your Piece of the Puzzle

 

The Grandscape A/V Technician I position is responsible for two major facets of the Grandscape digital signage and audio network; A/V Support Solutions and Systems Control and Content Scheduling. Working in this capacity, the A/V Technician I position helps shape the overall Grandscape guest experience by maintaining the upkeep of the digital signage and audio network to keep it up and operational daily. The level I position possesses working knowledge of A/V technical issues; handles general issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.

 

Job Duties: A Day in the Life

 

  • Partner:Coordinate with the Grandscape IT team to bring A/V hardware and software solutions into the Grandscape network environment
  • Oversee: Perform regular system monitoring of the digital signage and audio network, conduct a daily walkthrough of all digital signage and audio experiences and respond to alerts as required
  • Account: Report digital signage and audio network operational status and up-time by gathering and prioritizing information
  • Perform: Work within the digital signage and audio network CMS systems (Training will be provided from Grandscape A/V staff and third-party partner vendors)
  • Manage: Coordinate digital media and audio content using the CMS software tools to schedule and activate content across the Grandscape digital signage and audio network, sources will include internal and third-party content
  • Support: Assist with the management of all master control operations, coordinate a technical and integrated environment of various hardware and software systems including digital media content, zoned audio experiences, site lighting controls, etc

Qualifications: Can You Check These Boxes?

 

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in an A/V/IT technician role or equivalent experience in a related field
  • Knowledge and experience working with digital signage and audio content management and control system software.  System specific training is to be provided
  • Experience supporting integrated digital signage and audio networks. Understanding of hardware and software solutions
  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair and replace hardware, act as a field technician to resolve issues. Commercial installation and event A/V experience preferred
  • Knowledge of installing, configuring and maintaining all manners of A/V hardware, end-user devices and associated network equipment
  • Lift test requirement: ability to lift, push, pull required weights per established requirements for the department
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to communicate in an understandable, polite and friendly manner, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and/or early morning hours based on business needs
