NFM's Network Security Engineer I researches, analyzes and troubleshoots information systems compliance and security issues. Responsible for analyzing, compliance and technical control validation data to determine and report baseline variance for all applicable technology environments.
This is a remote position requiring the candidate to reside in one of the following states: NE, IA, MO, KS or TX.

Job Duties: A Day in the Life
- Support: Assist with the evaluation and implementation of advanced security control solutions (e.g. malware, virus, and phishing protection, privileged account management, and security incident event monitoring (SIEM)
- Observe:Monitor and advise on information security issues related to the systems and workflow to ensure internal security controls are appropriate and operating as intended
- Maintain: Follow SOC procedures and processes to support Firewalls, Content Engines, Intruder Detection or Prevention Systems
- Collaborate: Participate in the collaboration with internal and external partners to manage security vulnerabilities and remediate security issues
- Analyze: Assist with the analysis, implementation, research and technical security controls of data and systems - determine and report baseline variance for all applicable technology environments

Qualifications: Can You Check These Boxes?
- Associate or bachelor's degree in information security, or related degree or equivalent relevant work experience
- 1 year of Information Security experience
- Experience with security management, information security risk assessments, network security management, application design and architecture, network engineering
- Certifications preferred – CISSP, Security +, GLSC, GCIH, GMON, GPEN
- Recognized IT control frameworks and standards (e.g., CIS, COBIT, ITIL, NIST, ISO 2700x and RMF)
- Technical knowledge in a wide array of platforms and systems (e.g., Windows, UNIX, SQL, Tandem)
- Pre-employment screening includes, but isn't limited to, criminal background check
