The Auto Damage Appraisal Auditor ( Q.S. Appraisal Auditor) is responsible for identifying and maintaining appraisal quality of auto damage estimates as well as quality assurance measures.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, with work from home opportunities.

Specific hours are subject to selected start time between 8am-9am pending supervisory approval

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Essential functions of this job are listed below in order of priority. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential duties. Regular and predictable onsite attendance is an essential function of the job.

  • Analyze incoming subrogation demands by identifying key elements to determine whether the demand is reasonable, or if changes are recommended. Provide documentation to the requesting Adjuster for support in negotiations with the adverse carrier.

  • Using NJM's preferred estimating solution review incoming Premier Car Care Estimates for possible estimating irregularities with high complexity. Examine the Images and Audit report to make appropriate changes based on guidelines and best practices.

  • Monitor your queue for changes requested to ensure timely follow up by shop. Track changes that are not accepted or modified incorrectly. Properly document and report these issues to Quality Service Supervisor.

  • Identify and analyze Total Loss estimates to determine that they are in line with Company guidelines. Communicate any issues with the shop and ensure necessary changes are made

Required Qualifications: Knowledge, skills & abilities, experience, minimum & desired education, certification and/or license requirements.

  • Must have experience with CCC estimating software or equivalent

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Minimum of 4 years experience as a body shop estimator, independent field appraiser or insurance carrier staff appraiser or equivalent work experience

  • Excellent time management, verbal communication and organization skills

  • Ability to negotiate with repair facilities and adjust damage appraisals based on variances found

  • Willingness to participate in on-going off-site training which could include scheduled ride along (job shadowing) with staff appraisers, off-site automotive conferences or continuing education courses.        

  • Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Physical Damage Appraiser license, or must be obtained within 90 days of hire

  • Chief Courses, I-CAR Platinum designation and ASE Damage Analysis and Estimating Certification are required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire.                                                                                   

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Appraiser or Adjuster License for DE, NY, and CT

Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials.

Pay Range: $75,784-$88,035
