Description

A Business Intelligence Developer, Associate is a software development professional that produces data deliverables such as KPI dashboards, create data extraction process, analyze business data, build machine learning models. These deliverables provide end users with information that is easy to use for making business decisions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in requirements gathering for data deliverables to ensure an understanding of their purpose and provide a technical perspective on requirements.
  • Perform technical analysis to identify options for providing functionality.
  • Contributes to the creation of designs that clearly identify how standard issues will be addressed. Work with other team members (Data Analysts, Data SMEs and Data Architects/Modelers) to understand the source of data required and details about the meaning and structure of the data necessary to properly use it.
  • Develop data deliverables by creating queries (SQL) to retrieve data and using a designer (for e.g. Power BI) to define a layout for end user consumption.
  • Document and perform unit tests to ensure requirements have been met.
  • Document steps to configure and deploy data deliverables. Work with the Data Insights Development Lead and Configuration Management resources to ensure successful migration to each environment.
  • Developing statistical predictive models using data mining techniques (such as linear and logistic regression, neural networks, and decision trees).
  • Working with statistical programming languages (such as R or Python) and database querying languages (like PL/SQL).
  • Conducting exploratory analysis, deploying models into production, and interpreting large amounts of information for actionable recommendations
  • Perform production support activities to ensure production SLA is met.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 1+ years writing SQL queries and creating database schema objects
  • 1  year exposure with Business intelligence tools like Power BI
  • 1  year exposure with Statistical programming languages like Python and R
  • 1 year exposure with building Machine Learning models.  
  • Ability to analyze data and identify source fields from requirements.
  • Ability to retrieve data using SQL queries.
  • Ability to understand and maintain complex database schema objects (View and Stored procedures)
  • Familiarity with Business intelligence technologies such as Power BI
  • Familiarity with Statistical programming languages such as Python and R
  • Familiarity with Data mining, statistical modeling, machine learning, and natural language processing
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good problem-solving skills.
