Description

We are looking for a Workers' Compensation Paralegal who thrives in both a collaborative and independent environment; where diversity within their team and organization is valued.  

The ideal candidate is one who seeks opportunities to advance development, proactively shares knowledge and expertise and is receptive to new ideas; someone who can demonstrate flexibility in their role, readily adaptable to change, and willing to pursue challenging tasks.  The successful candidate will have the option to work up to 2 days per week remotely.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review and respond to Subpoenas and HIPAAs.
  • Assist management in data analysis and report management.
  • Conduct legal research and summarize case law.
  • Prepare documents, pleadings, motions, legal memoranda and briefs, certifications and affidavits.
  • Provide support to staff attorneys from litigation inception to trial.
  • Provide litigation assistance for regional claims.
  • Provide assistance in civil claims actions and coverage.


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Paralegal Certificate is required (from an ABA approved program is preferred).
  • Proficiency in accurately organizing and preparing legal documents;
  • Strong ability to summarize  and analyze legal documents and medical records;
  • Conduct, summarize and analyze investigative and/or legal research;
  • Experience working with  laws and statutes governing workers' compensation litigation and civil tort litigation in NJ, NY, PA, CT, DE, MD;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail and customer service;
  • Excellent organizational/prioritization and time management skills;, with the ability to manage competing priorities efficiently;
  • Must have the ability to prioritize and proactively manage a large case load;
  • Ability to work independently, with mentoring
