Description

At NorthBay Healthcare the Clinical Nurse (RN) has the responsibility, accountability, and the authority to deliver safe, effective, quality, excellent nursing care according to the philosophy and goals/objectives of the Department of Nursing. As a Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit you will be expected to provide safe, effective, quality, excellent nursing care to our patients following Jean Watson's Theory of Caring, the Relationship Based Care, and the NorthBay's professional nursing practice model. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for all patients assigned to your care. You will also use a therapeutic professional communication style with the patient and their family along with your interdisciplinary team to facilitate the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health for the patient. The NorthBay Way principles consisting of Caring, Communication, Collaboration, and Competence are values exhibited daily.



Qualifications

Education: 

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing. 
  • BSN required by January 1, 2020, unless grandfathered as outlined in March 2014 letter.

Licensure: 

  • Valid and current RN license by the State of California.  ACLS required, PALS within 3 months of hire
  • Telemetry certification within 3 months of hire; CN I telemetry certification within 4 months of hire
  • TNCC certification once in nursing career (must show proof if taken prior to coming to NorthBay Healthcare) or within 12 months of date of hire. 
  • CSPAN, ATCN, and TCAR preferred.

Experience: 

  • Minimum of 2 years required (5 years preferred) in an acute care setting within the last 5 years.
  • Experience in PACU, critical care, or ED nursing required.
  • Arrhythmia interpretation

Communication: 

  • Proficient written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.

Compensation:

  • Hourly Salary Range Min $72.59 - Max $87.53 (Offered hourly rate based on years of experience)
