At NorthBay Health the Radiologic Technologist III will work under the supervision of the SDI Tech Manager. Performs general radiographic studies, fluoroscopic studies, and CT Heads to established QA criteria. Completes radiographs, organizes patient data, completes required documentation and charges. Responsible for patient safety and well-being during examinations. Assists and instructs patients during examinations. Assists with clerical duties. Reports all equipment malfunctions. Cleans and inspects equipment prior to use.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
- Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations in accordance to established protocols.
- Performs Computed Tomography (CT) scans of the head in accordance with established protocols.
- Assists and instructs patients prior and during examinations.
- Responsible for evaluating each study to ensure it meets required quality standards.
- Responsible for patient safety and well-being during examinations.
- Responsible for inspecting and cleaning equipment prior to use.
- Reports equipment failures and/or malfunctions to the Tech Manager.
- Reports all patient complaints, discrepancies and drug reactions according to QA policies.
- Responsible for completing images, duplicating images, organizing paperwork and completing documentation.
- Organizational standards for ACR, Patient Safety and the Department of Heath will be met or exceeded

Qualifications
Education:
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Graduate of an AMA approved radiology course
Licensure:
- California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT)
- California Fluoroscopic Permit
- AHA or equivalent BLS Certification required
Experience:
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in general radiology
- Minimum one (1) year of experience performing CT head scans
Skills:
- Basic clerical and computer experience.

Compensation: $60.79 - $73.90 (per diem rate included in range, based on years of experience)
