Job Summary

We are searching for an entry level Associate who has great telephone customer service experience and wants to take care of our members and their retirement plan needs. We need someone to take phone calls and respond to emails about the member's retirement plan needs, assume basic processing work of retirement distributions, and has a strong desire to learn more about retirement plans, practices, procedures, and business systems.  

Qualifications

Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities  

  • One-year experience in the retirement plan, the insurance or banking industry. 

  • Experience answering telephone calls and email requests using excellent telephone customer service skills.  

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).

  • Ability to effectively multi-task while taking member calls.

  • Ability to effectively interact with others and work in a team environment.

  • Ability to learn new processes and systems.

  • Must be able to work 8:15 – 5:00 p.m. onsite during training, and on a hybrid work schedule (2 days in the office 3 days at home), post-training, 100% remote work isn't an option

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in business, finance, or accounting, preferred.

  • Experience processing retirement distributions.

  • Knowledge of defined contribution and defined pension plan administration.  

Essential Physical Requirements

  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading.

  • This job is sedentary work, and the worker sits most of the time; therefore, the job is rated for light work.
