Description
We are seeking a dedicated Obstetrician-Gynecologist (ObGyn) Physician to join our
team at a freestanding birthing center in a rural area. As one of two physicians, you will
play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to low-risk obstetric patients in a
supportive and community-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prenatal Care:
- Conduct thorough prenatal assessments, including routine check-ups, screenings, and monitoring of low-risk pregnancies.
- Establish and maintain strong doctor-patient relationships to ensure personalized and compassionate care.
- Labor and Delivery:
- Oversee and manage the labor and delivery process, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for expectant mothers.
- Collaborate with midwives, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth deliveries.
- Postpartum Care:
- Provide postpartum care and support to new mothers, addressing any concerns and promoting maternal well-being.
- Offer guidance on newborn care and breastfeeding to enhance the overall postpartum experience.
- Gynecological Care:
- Perform routine gynecological examinations, screenings, and procedures.
- Diagnose and treat gynecological conditions, fostering women's reproductive health.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to address questions, concerns, and provide education.
- Quality Improvement:
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives to enhance the safety and effectiveness of obstetric and gynecological care.
- Stay updated on evidence-based practices and participate in continuing
- education to maintain high standards of care.
- Community Engagement:
- Actively engage with the local community, participating in outreach and educational programs related to women's health.
- Foster positive relationships with community partners to enhance the birthing center's presence.
- Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine.
- Board eligibility or Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- State medical licensure and appropriate certifications.
- Experience in low-risk obstetric care preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
