Job Summary

 

Responsible for providing operational and administrative Human Resources support while ensuring a positive culture with emphasis on overall employee experience.  Carries out administrative responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, departmental development, HRIS, hourly recruitment, orientation, training, onboarding, and administrative support.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Effectively partners with human resources management to maintain a high performing work environment, where employees support each other to ensure the department's effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
  • Responsible for handling a range of employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans. 
  • Provide consistent and fair guidance and support to frontline leadership team and employees in line with company policies and procedures.
  • Act as a mediator for workplace issues and conflicts, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Promote various HR programs as necessary to create an efficient and effective work environment.
  • Prepare or update employment records as they relate to transfer, promotion, and termination.
  • Assist HR Manager in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Explain and interpret policies, procedures, laws and standards to new and existing employees.
  • Responsible for bi-weekly payroll processing, time edit entries, vacation approvals, and acts as a liaison to payroll department.
  • Conduct compliance audits and prepare detailed reports. 
  • Maintains privacy and confidentiality of all employee information. 
  • Other duties may be assigned based on the needs of the business. 

 

Requirements 

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field required. 
  • Requires 3+ years of experience in employee relations, HR compliance, and generalist roles.
  • Comprehensive understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and maintain confidentiality.
