Job Summary

 

Responsible for ensuring preventative and predictive maintenance program is fully developed and maintained; manage the repair and fabrication of equipment for the entire facility.  Manage the employees, their workflow, and training.   Maintain strict adherence to safety guidelines.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Maintain and improve safety conditions plant wide
  • Develop, supervise and coordinate maintenance staff to execute on preventative maintenance, capital projects and emergency work
  • Develop and action on specific KPIs impacted by the maintenance department; pareto failures by reason code and utilize problem solving tools to solve for root cause
  • In conjunction with Plant Manager, develop critical path equipment list and associated work order priority structure
  • Use of predictive tools and training across the department to diagnose machine condition and develop maintenance plans
  • Develop and/or obtain proper technical training for the group to ensure relevant knowledge of current systems and equipment
  • Manage maintenance labor to work order completion and develop labor standards for routine tasks
  • Establish and manage budgets for department and capital projects
  • Develop and manage preventative maintenance program for raw material handling, extrusion, Liquid Polymer Coating, auxiliary equipment and all facility related building and maintenance equipment
  • Schedule and maintain the repair of machines, facility and all equipment within the plant
  • Assist and direct all machine rebuilds, upgrades and daily production machine troubleshooting and repair
  • Coordinate and assist with basic/emergency tool repair / maintenance
  • Assist in the design and fabrication of special parts / panels / components
  • Oversee facilities, building maintenance and repair
  • Provide technical support for the manufacturing floor
  • Ensure confidentiality, high employee morale, company policy and safety guidelines are met

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, facility management, or a similar field
  • A minimum of 10 year's experience in maintenance or engineering
  • Previous experience managing hourly and salaried employees
  • Machine troubleshooting / repair (Mechanical, Hydraulic, Electrical) experience
  • PLC ladder logic understanding
  • Strong knowledge facilities machines and equipment
  • Exceptional communication, leadership and interpersonal skills

 

Physical Requirements

 

  • Being able to sit/stand for long periods of time
  • Being able to walk on the plant floor
  • Regularly required to communicate with others
