What you'll do:

The Field Support Technician III (FST III) role is responsible for the implementation, installation, service, support, training, and supervisory leader of Automation & Robotic Systems for our clients in highly diverse industries. An FST III's primary responsibility will be to ensure new system installations are performed successfully. This will require a ‘hands-on' application of strong mechanical, electrical and PC knowledge and skills. Additionally, an. Additional details about what you will be doing includes:

  • Primary technical lead for on-site installation, repair, and training for Automation, including Robotics, Vision, and Motion Control.
  • Knowledge of electrical control systems and ability to read schematics, diagrams, and drawings.
  • Strong technical and mechanical aptitude, with the ability to perform on-site fabrication, assembly, installation, testing, and troubleshooting work.
  • Ability to train & develop Field Support Technicians.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and to adapt to challenging work schedules and business demands.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites as needed, averaging 10% - 30% travel time.
  • Supporting the manufacturing floor during non-travel times.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Proven history of troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and servicing technical equipment.
  • Proven history of successful customer interaction and providing high levels of customer service.
  • ERP Experience, SAP preferred.
  • High School Diploma, or equivalency, required.
  • Associates degree in microelectronics, engineering or related field or 1-4 years of field service experience or aptitude preferred.
