What can you expect in the Technical Sales Admin position?

We are seeking an organized and proactive Technical Sales Admin to join our Applications Engineering Team. This position plays a key administrative role in supporting the front-end of the sales and quoting process. While embedded in a technical department, this role does not require an engineering background.

Your primary responsibilities will include gathering and organizing project details, requesting vendor quotes, and assisting with proposal creation. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, responsive, and comfortable communicating with both customers and vendors to collect and manage information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Outreach: Contact customers to gather application information and clarify project requirements in support of new sales opportunities.
  • Scope Compilation: Collect, organize, and transcribe key details related to customer applications. Assist in creating non-technical scope of work summaries for internal use and proposal development.
  • Vendor Quote Requests: Contact suppliers and vendors to obtain pricing, lead times, and product information for components and sub-systems.
  • Proposal Support: Assist the Applications Engineering team in compiling and formatting customer-facing sales proposals, ensuring documents are complete, accurate, and professionally presented.

Requirements

  • Must have High School Diploma or equivalent; Secondary education is preferred
  • 6 months of customer sales experience required
