Summary:
Provide technical assistance and professional support to promote a positive image of the Oneida Nation. Responsible for generating high public visibility of the Nation's government projects and issues, as well as building community awareness of government policy changes. The position will manage the coordination of the Nation's approved brand standards and develop guidelines and approvals of secondary logos or branded graphics and messaging for the Nation's entities.
Responsibilities:
* Create and maintain positive relationships with the Nation's stakeholders (community, external organizations and customers) using various media outlets.
* Develop, proof and review for compliance, communication collateral including physical or digital materials.
* Assist in the alignment of brand standards for alternative or secondary images to ensure brand consistency.
* Research and gather data to support the Nation's branding standard and variations as needed or required.
* Develop and maintain a review and approval process that allows the Nation to utilize strategically approved secondary logos for the purposes of versatility, memorability, adaptability in the Nation's operations.
* Assist with all aspects of telecommunications, including phone coverage, facsimile maintenance and e-mail.
* Work with the Communications team, and other Nation entities to establish a system for development, review and approval of collateral that supports brand implementation or approved variations.
* Monitor tribal, local, state, and federal media for relevant information impacting the Nation.
* Prepare agenda for weekly public relation briefings and recaps.
* Assist with assembly, organizing and maintenance of multi-media library.
* Assist in development, planning, and implementation of marketing strategies to promote the Oneida Nation as needed.
* Work cooperatively with Nation's entities to plan, develop and execute advertisements, commercials and special promotions as needed.
* Keep abreast of National Consortiums' goals and strategies as they relate to Oneida Nation principles and government initiatives.
* Compile monthly activity reports as required.
* Research and coordinate media and government relations; services request and gathering information.
* Work closely with the Public Relations Director to assist in developing materials to support public relation implementation plans and strategies on a wide variety of Tribal-related issues.
* Represent the Oneida Nation at various public events as directed.
* Assist in managing the Nation's website content materials through review and alignment of website of materials as needed.
* Coordinate website brand training with website content managers as assigned.
* Participate in the department's communication initiatives by providing support for physical and digital content material as needed.
* Attend outside training opportunities for continuous learning and to expand knowledge on new digital marketing skills.
* Practice excellent customer service skills at all times to include but not limited to addressing customer and employee needs courteously and promptly.
* Contribute to a team effort and accomplish related results as required.
