Summary:

Under general supervision, participates in a work program during an extended break while working towards a college degree in order to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting. Assists in the daily operations of the Recreation Department.

Responsibilities:

* Above duties and responsibilities are not all inclusive but rather a general representation of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position. The duties and responsibilities will be subject to change based on organizational needs and/or deemed necessary by the supervisor.
* Assist in research and development.
* Learn Data Entry and document processing.
* Scheduling and task management
* General tasks in support of Project Management, Digital Security, Citizen Services, Customer Service, etc.
* Learning how to draft and refine technical documents and instructions.
* Certification attainment relevant to DTS activities.

Skills:

Essential:

* Operate various word-processing, spreadsheets, and database software programs in a Windows environment
* Ability to work both independently and in a team environmen
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail

* Computer Literacy / Typing 60wpm+

Must be willing and able to obtain additional related education and training.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and adhere to the Nation Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.

A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.
