ENROLLED ONEIDA TRIBAL MEMBERS ONLY
Summary:
Under general supervision, participates in a work program during an extended break while working towards a college degree in order to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting. Assist in the daily operations of the Recreation Department.
Responsibilities:
* Develop, organize, promote, implement, and evaluate a variety of social activities and events including after-school activities, seasonal programming, summer programs, groups and field trips, and art & craft clubs.
* Maintain equipment to include inspecting equipment, setting up equipment and informing their supervisor of any faulty equipment
* Assist staff in preparations for summer classes and baseball games
* Answer & screen telephone calls, take and relay accurate messages, greet visitors and direct to the appropriate office or personnel with courtesy and respect.
* Practice excellent customer service skills at all times to include, but not limited to, addressing customer and case needs courteously and promptly (Customer service provided shall be in line with the organizations “Good Mind” core values).
* Plan, organize and assist with summer program and baseball activities
* Enforce all rules and regulations as established by the Recreation Department pertaining to activities and participants.
* Monitor the inside/outside Recreation facility for safety of participants.
* Assist with locking up and securing the facility at closing as needed.
* Chaperone and transport youth to events and programs as needed/required.
* Actively participate in staff meetings.
* Contribute to a team effort and accomplish related results as required

* Ability and wiliness to obtain Oneida Certification on reporting Child Abuse and Neglect is required within ninety (90) days of employment

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and adhere to the Nation Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.
A Tuberculosis (TB) Screening and/or a 2 step TB Skin Test is required within thirty (30) days of employment.
Must provide a copy of diploma/degree, license, or certification upon employment.
