Certification Details

• Not required for Case Managers & Sterile Processing Techs (Confirmed with facility; not providing direct patient care)
• BLS required for Massage Therapists. Does not need to be AHA. Any BLS acceptable (online or in person)
• NIHSS Counts towards the yearly requirement if completed within the year. (NIHSS is typically worth 3 hours - Traveler will need to complete additional stroke credit hours to complete the full 4 or 8 hours required).
• Stroke CEU Required annually for the following units: Neurosciences & OTO/Head, Neurosciences ICU, Emergency Department
• NIH Stroke Certification mandatory

• Position Details: Responsible for assessing patient needs, planning & coordinating interventions & consultations. Procedures & treatments are provided in the ED including/not limited to; moderate & deep sedation, US, intubation, cardioversion, D&Cs, sexual assault exams, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and imminent deliveries. Pt population and diagnosis includes trauma, acute stroke, STEMI, psychosis/psychological emergencies, and sepsis. Pts frequently present with alcohol/drug abuse history or complex medical history

Job Requirements
• Requirements: EPIC & Trauma Experience
• Certs Req: BLS, ACLS, PALS - TNCC (preferred)

Schedule Information
• Shift: 3x12 variable evenings/nights
• 1300-0130
• 1500-0330
• 1900-0730

Unit Specific Information
