- AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
- Traditional AHA certifications only; e-cards must be employer verified from AHA website.
- Instructor certifications, RQI AHA, and Certificates of Completion for AHA certs pending e-cards are not acceptable.
- Stroke CEU required annually for certain units.
- State License Verification required.

- South Operating Room (Main OR) is a large 25-bed OR primarily an adult inpatient operating room with a small volume of outpatient procedures including several specialties.
- The OHSU Operating Room provides around-the-clock multidisciplinary services to adult patients across their lifespan.
- The department cares for Ambulatory, Adult Acute Care and Adult ICU patients arriving from home, ED or from the In-Patient setting.
- OHSU is a Magnet designated hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center.
- Job Requirements

- Surgical procedures include: Cardiac/Thoracic, General Surgery/Minimally Invasive/Colorectal/Bariatric, Gynecology, Oral Maxillofacial, Neuro/neuro spine, Orthopedic/orthopedic spine, Otolaryngology, Plastics, Transplant, Urology, Vascular, Robotic (Urology/GYN/Oral), and Trauma.
- Surgical procedures on infants and children less than 18 years of age are also performed if the procedure requires specialized equipment found only at this location.

- A valid government-issued photo ID is required on the first day to obtain OHSU ID badge.
- This facility provides important details about particular unit orientation and ongoing education requirements.
