Job Skills / Requirements The Shift Supervisor will work closely with the Client Service Manager to ensure that the day to day operations of the site during their shift are running smoothly. The Shift Supervisor will also be working in close contact with the building operators, clients and the tenants of the buildings if applicable. The Shift Supervisor will organize and oversee all security operations during his shift. Security Officers will report to the Shift Supervisor and will be under the Shift Supervisors command while implementing policies and procedures and maintaining security standards. As a Shift Supervisor, you will have to demonstrate excellent communication skills, strongly commit to the policies and procedures of the site and look out for all hazards and threats to safety. The Shift Supervisor will have a number of officers under his/her responsibility and must exhibit leadership skills as well as properly documenting and forwarding concerns and corrective actions to the Client Service Manager. The Shift Supervisor's goal is to create and preserve an environment where employees, visitors and property are safe and well-protected.
This position is Monday to Friday and full availability is required to be considered.
 
The Shift Supervisor's Responsibilities:
-Have excellent customer service skills
-Supervise the training of security officers
-Set up and monitor security operations for specific events
-Coordinate staff when responding to emergencies or fire/panic alarms
-Review officers daily reports, incident reports and notebooks.
-Be familiar in the use of relevant technology and equipment
-Investigate and resolve security and safety issues
-Report all safety issues and security related problems to the Client Service Manager

Job Qualifications:
Security experience is required
Security license is required
Supervisor experience is an asset
First Aid is an asset
Authorized to legally work in Canada

Education Requirements (All)

Grade 12 or GED equivalent
