Hours: | Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 07:30 - 18:30
Payrate: | $18.54/hour
Overtime Method: | Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Job Description:
- Enforce the regulations of Loyalist College
- Patrol campus consistently on a proactive & reactive basis
- Respond to incidents and emergency situations
- Complete reports as required by site and Paladin
- Find and assist students, visitors, and staff whenever possible
- Engage with and deter smokers on the property
- Verbal de-escalation of incidents
- Provide a visible and reliable security presence
- This position reports to the site supervisor, and performs independent, self-directed tasks
Prerequisites:
- Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
- Proof of double COVID-19 vaccination
- Can't be an active student at Loyalist College
- English (oral and written) fluency is a must
- French (oral and written) fluency is considered an asset
- Previous experience in security, by-law, parking enforcement - considered an asset
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position but must commute to Kingston for 2 days of in-class training
- Please be aware: The certification training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability
- Must be able to attend 2 days of in-class training in Kingston
- Authorized to legally work in Canada
