Hours: | Saturday & Sunday - 2000-0800
Payrate: | $19.00/hour
Overtime Method: | Ontario ESA

Job Responsibilities:
- Being alert and observant while being outside, standing or walking for an extended period in all weather conditions
- Maintain communication with fellow security guards, dispatch, clients, and management
- Work independently
- Ensure all site staff adhere to Paladin Security policies and procedures
- Ensure proper documentation is passed onto the Shift Leads/Dispatchers, clients, and Paladin management team
- Complete mobile patrols diligently
- Document and investigate security incidents and complaints
- Communicates any concerns/issues with reporting supervisor/Client Service Manager
- Report any deficiencies with the vehicle
- Be observant and record all discrepancies, deficiencies and safety hazards/concerns noted during patrols and take corrective action
- Be courteous and helpful in enforcing all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
- Respond immediately to any emergency and co-ordinate response accordingly based off established procedures.
- Maintain the highest standard of security; be professional in attitude, appearance and application.
- Perform security duties in accordance with established procedures
- Ensure they are being conducted within the limitations of any federal, provincial and municipal laws.
- Additional duties as required
- Ability to work alone and be self-motivated
- Valid Ontario Security License
- Valid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)
- Proof of (minimum) double COVID-19 vaccination
- A copy of your immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Tuberculosis Skin Tests Step 1 & 2)
- Completed immunization for Measles, Mumps, and Rubella are required at the time of hire. Applicants who are not immunized or are otherwise unable to provide their MMR immunity at the time of hire will not be deemed eligible for the position.
- G level driver's licensing, with a clean driver's abstract
- Minimum 1 year of security experience required
- Experience in Mobile Security is considered an asset
- English fluency (written and oral) required
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- Please be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6 month commitment to the position/availability
- Attend 6 days of blended (virtual/in-class) pre-deployment training at the Kingston Branch office
- Minimum 2+ years of security experience required
- Experience in Mobile security will be preferred
- Experience in commercial security will be preferred
