Overview Job Skills / Requirements Scope of Work Paladin Security is seeking 1 security officer to add to their team for the purpose of enforcing parking regulations in accordance with municipal bylaws. This role involves patrolling assigned areas, issuing citations, educating the public on parking policies, and reporting violations. The Security Operative would work closely with city officials, and the public to ensure compliance and maintain order in parking zones.
Key Responsibilities would include (but not be limited to):
- Enforcement & Compliance:
- Monitor designated areas for parking violations.
- Issue citations or warnings as per municipal parking bylaws.
- Ensure restricted and accessible parking zones remain clear for authorized users.
- Public Interaction & Education:
- Provide information to the public regarding parking regulations.
- Address inquiries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Educate violators on parking bylaws and available dispute resolution options.
- Patrolling & Reporting:
- Conduct routine patrols on foot to monitor compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of enforcement actions and incidents as per municipalities current practices.
- Report unauthorized vehicles, obstructions, or safety hazards.
- Collaboration & Safety:
- Work collaboratively and in a supportive manner with municipal officials as well as law enforcement as necessary.
- Follow company protocols for conflict resolution and de-escalation.
Work Conditions:
- Outdoor work environment, subject to weather conditions.
- Previous security, enforcement, or parking-related experience would be an asset but not required
- Ability to work independently and handle confrontational situations calmly
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be bilingual- English and French
- Approachable, friendly and courteous
- Ability to walk/stand for extended periods and work in varying weather conditions including cold, rain and heat.
- Computer proficiency and strong report-writing skills
- Highly dependable and reliable
- Monday-Friday: 08:00-16:00
High School Diploma/GED
