Position: Security Team Lead
Site: Seneca Polytechnic - (All Locations)
City: GTA - All Campus
Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours Or ESA Overtime after 44 Hours
Status: Full-Time
Hours: Continental Rotation12 Hours Or 8 Hours (Monday to Friday)
Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.50/ an hour

Job Description:

Supervising and managing Security personnel to ensure pass on books, binders, key sign sheets, etc. are all properly documented and followed

  • Following direction and requests from the Client and Coordinators in regards to training for Security personnel
  • Working closely with all employees, Coordinators, Client to ensure all training needs are being conducted
  • Produce records and reports on completed training material by individual employee
  • Watch for and report irregularities by completing investigations and incident reports, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations; contact emergency responders, such as police, fire, and/or ambulance personnel, as required
  • Utilize two-way radio and computer applications for communicating site activities
  • Sustain effective relationships with key stakeholders and provide specialized security services by enforcing college's rules and regulations when required
  • Offer support to any person in need such as providing good customer service when providing a security presence, such as providing direction on college campus, responding to emergency situation involving violent individuals and injuries
  • Be an accurate and dependable resource having knowledge about services on campus
  • Be able to comprehend and demonstrate competencies of Centennial College and Centennial Campus Security policies and procedures with an ability to use a customer service approach
  • Be attentive to the needs of the student, faculty and staff incidents as well as be able to build relationships with the college community
  • Be able to keep an open and objective mind, remembering the college's diverse community
  • Be able to facilitate an environment that allows students to meet their academic goals
  • Encourage students to make connections with College resources and the community by building a safe and supportive environment.
  • Help develop an atmosphere in which students have concern and respect for the right of others
  • Assist student, staff and faculty during crisis and contact the necessary emergency services as needed
  • Frequently inspect the campus for damage and report to management
  • Ensure that the property is safe by ensuring all security measures are functioning properly

Job Requirements:

  • Must have a Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Must have a Valid WSIB approved First Aid & CPR Lvl C Certificate
  • Can you provide proof of vaccination for 2 approved doses against Covid19?
  • Must have a Valid G or G2 Ontario Drivers License
